I’m wanting to carve out a groove in wood in the shape of a fleur de liz. *sp* Then I want to nail tacks down in the groove to form the design, so that the tacks will be sunk down into the wood, can I use this technique for that?

@HandsomeSasquatch It could be. Some stains have very toxic materials. I would play it safe and NOT use the cup for drinking out of. If it was more recent I would say get the MSDS for the stain that was used to see what the chemical makeup is. It was a good question.
